hii,

my problem of visual studio2008 .which time i m installed in this .in thats time frame work 3.5 setup before and after components r show the error.. & thats time its main problem is his temprary files place one framework file is missing.

You are totaly right!

And I can add to that when I talked to the team they told me they are verry likely to change the object model in the future and It would be better to generate or anotate the XML instead.

Note that these are in PrivateAssemblies, which means Microsoft does not guarentee this interface will not change. In other words, using them is not supported.

Yes, You also need to install VS2008 if you want to run unit test on the build server. unfortunately there is no seperate install of the test tools for the build

I'm getting the same error for Visual Studio 2008

-- MSBUILD : warning MSB6003: The specified task executable "MSTest.exe" could not be run. The system cannot find the file specified.

Do we have to install Visual Studio 2008 on the build server to run unit tests with the build or there other options to be able to run the tests?

hahaha - had the same problem. i actually did see the 'Go online' option in the menu but quickly concluded it was just a link to msdn for yet more useless tfs documentation. i get it now. thanks.

You do have to install visual studio yes... but i've found that you can install the RC version of Visual Studio 2010 grab the v7.0A folder and copy it to your Microsoft SDKs\Windows Folder. Then remove Visual stuido off the build server. Make your registry hack and all of a sudden everything starts working :)

You can run TfsServerManager anywhere as long as you can connect straight from that location to the database tier of the tfs machine. The tool will also log into the sql server to get additional info. the script is nothing more as I described above. So I use the runas commandline to start the tfsservermanager tool and that is it.

i'm having the same problem while logging in tfsservermanager. Its returning me the login failed for User "xxxxx". I just wondering if you have to install the tfsservermanager direclty on the TFS server or you can

run it on the client side. As i can understand you created a

script that let you login on the database. Could you please

help me to how create that sscript?

Would somebody please talk about the error code 100! I see little discussion of this. When it is discussed it is only described....which is all that I can do right now! This error appears on my IE8 as a toolbar of its own with a big fat REPAIR button for me to click. I click it, it says the problem is fixed, but the button and self-imposed bar remains. Even with uninstalls and reinstalls, the same problem exists. And in places where I need to have evidence of the existence of the software engage (so that I might enjoy the feasts of the software) silverlight fails to awaken.

Does anyone know what is going on? and how to fix it? Even Microsoft does not seem to consider this problem large enough to create a patch for it.
