Today two important messages reached me, both connected to China.

Even in China. However Amnesty International has started a petition to support freedom of speech (blog) because in some countries it is not allowed to speak or write your mind.

- After a long, very long wait, my sister and her husband will provide me with the honor of becoming an uncle. Many people do not understand the effort and time it takes, they figure that after 9++ months you become a parent but for some of us it takes years to finally get that phone call that invites you to take a plane to China to come and collect your offspring. At last they will be parents (and I an uncle)
