The last couple of weeks,
some articles popped up on the web, describing that Java would break the new Vista glass interface. This seemed strange to me, as I am using Java 6 on the Vista RC for a while now, with glass, and didn't notice the problems.
Chet Haasse from the Sun Java Swing team has written an
article on his blog, explaining the
Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Apparently only older versions of Java experience issues: Java 5 update 8 and Java 6 work fine. The article is really interesting if you want to know more about the issues the Swing team faced when getting things to run on Vista.
