New version Eclipse Process Framework and OpenUP

A few weeks ago the Eclipse Process Framework (EPF) released a new version of their tools and process libraries. Part of the release is the OpenUP process definition. OpenUP is a spin-off from RUP, and is a more "agile" and lightweight variation. It is released under the EPL, which unlike RUP, means OpenUP is free and open source. You can browse the OpenUP published site online. There are all kinds pretty pictures embedded to illustrate the process:

EPF provides a tool which you can use to manage and customize processes. Using the tool you can generate published web sites (like the OpenUP one) for your customized process. It's a pretty impressive tool, with all kinds of wizards of editors. Process tools like Jazz can read EPF files to do extra process supporting stuff, and there are libraries available for multiple processes (DSDM, XP, SCRUM). All in all, very interesting if you are doing something with RUP-like processes and/or process customization.
