While toying around in Windows 7 I started the calculator and to my surprise the interface that we all know has changed. it looks pretty cool.
It has now four modes: from left to right: Standard, Scientific, Statistic, Programmer.

When creating the screenshots in the previous post i used the new version of MSPaint. I remember now that I read about the fact that in Windows 7 the ribbon would turn up more. At least it did in MSPaint.exe:

When playing around in Windows 7 I noticed the following:
When i hovered over it it showed:
the green in the folder button, is nothing more and nothing less than the progress bar of the copy process running. this means that you do not have to pull forward the progress window to show how for it is.
I know it is eye-candy, but I love sweets.

Last week at TechEd Barcelona, one of the coolest things we saw was the session from Mark Russinovich on the new stuff in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, where he showed that with the new OS the boot mechanism allows for booting from vhd file. at that point I though: This is what I am going to try next week. and I did. I have it running now ...

At the PDC conference two weeks ago ISO images from Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 were handed out, they are the M3 build. I had to try this. I saw some nice stuff about it at TechEd last week, so I had to try these.
I will post some nice stuff We tried during the coming week.

Steve Ballmer announced at the Gartner conference last week that there will be modifications in Vista to add Hyper-V to the system. Hyper-V willa lso integrate further into Server 2008. Microsoft will not wait for Windows 7 to integrate the Hypervisor technology in the client operating system.
