    RTM Hyper-V within 180 days of RTM-ing Windows Server 2008, and they made it, Hyper-V went RTM today.. From July 8th it will be available through Microsoft Update. Get it now here…

eager to get the new Hyper-V working after two weeks of frustration that I got my hands on it, and not being able to get it installed because of the lack of available hardware, I installed the RC1 escrow build this afternoon. just before the weekend started, it is here, I can play with it, My day is made. I will have a hell of a weekend, because now I know on monday i do not have all day to play, I have to teach. but at least I will have the install to do on monday morning, and the rest of the week I can get in to the new version. I AM SO HAPPY

I read the news groups today and it seems the thing I posted about yesterday (windows Server 2008 RC0) is meant to be downloadable by me as well. only everybody has the same problem: it should be there but isn't. This is a nice way to tease your testers, tell them it is out there, but do not give it to them.... I feel like my kids sometimes do ...

I just opened my mail, and basically the first thing I saw was that RC0 of Server 2008 is released on connect for TAP customers only, this is frustrating, knowing that it's there, but not being able to get my hands on it.... AAAHH

They are finally there... The courses I talked about in my TTT on Windows Server 2008. For MCT's: they are downloadable from the Microsoft Courseware site... They are in the Microsoft Windows Server group of courses. Do not search for Longhorn or 2008....

What was used to be called Mandatory integrity Control is now called Windows Integrity Mechanism. for those of you who want to know more abpout it, on the MSDN library there is very nice information on this subject... And this time it's dev AND ItPro.... :-)
