  • Eye-candy in Windows 7 (part 2 of ???)

When creating the screenshots in the previous post i used the new version of MSPaint. I remember now that I read about the fact that in Windows 7 the ribbon would turn up more. At least it did in MSPaint.exe:

  • Eye-candy in Windows 7 (part 1 of???)

When playing around in Windows 7 I noticed the following: When i hovered over it it showed: the green in the folder button, is nothing more and nothing less than the progress bar of the copy process running. this means that you do not have to pull forward the progress window to show how for it is. I know it is eye-candy, but I love sweets.

  • Old News about expiring computer accounts in demo/course environments.

I was talking to a colleague trainer of mine today and we were talking about course images and how they might become “out of sync” with the domain controller. ( basically what happens is: like a user, a computer has a password as well, and if that expires, the machine “drops out of the domain”) normally a domain disjoin and a domain join will do ...

A little gem for sysadmins who want clean installs, but who do not want to do the click here type there scenario. For Vista there is no such thing on the DVD. reading and surfing on the web brought me to the this site. It looks like the online brother for ...

  • MAC problems

Today I am running a class on HMC 4.5 This class is running on Hyper-V. we ran into the following and I cannot say I am pleased with this: when you create the first machine on a Hyper-V box through the Hyper-V manager, the MAC address will be always the same, so if you create an environment that is running on Two separate pieces of hardware, You ...
