On Monday, the Microsoft Exchange team has released a new tool for troubleshooting Exchange. The Managed Availability Trouble Shooter (MATS), utilizes the existing logs that Managed Availability(or Local Active Monitoring), but display’s them in an easy to read and manage UI.
Does MATS give you new information than before or than the use of SCOM can offer you? No, but the way it is set up, it gives you great overview and more context, on how your Exchange servers are functioning and is specifically designed to help Exchange administrators troubleshoot problems and pro-actively managed their environment.
