My day today will begin by reinstalling my Windows 7 machine, I played around the edges of the machine a little too much, It gave up on me Tuesday evening while preparing for a seminar, I am soooooo happy with two hard disks for my laptop, so I could very easy switch over to my solid server 2008 installation for the seminar.
My idea is now to completely rebuild the laptop in the following fashion: just one OS: a Windows 7 install booting from VHD. Install App-V on it, and create application streams that will be placed on my physical drive. I am curious on how this will perform and whether is will give me the flexibility when upgrading I expect it should give me.
I’ll keep you posted. I’ll post all the things I do so people who want to do the same will be able to follow in my footsteps.
BTW: I am using build 7000 for all of this.
