Last week I did another Windows Based Hosting introduction training. The room was reasonably packed as we had eager 22 attendees. We did shoot some foto’s and I will upload one here later.
I tend to cover a lot more topics than just Windows Based Hosting because I personally think that the real value add is in services like Exchange, Sharepoint, LCS and Mobility features. We cover the key of the Microsoft Hosting Solutions (Windows Based Hosting and Hosted Messaging and Collaboration) the Microsoft Provisioning Framework very extensively. With demo’s of the included Provisioning System and Control Panel against the Ensim Unify and Pro Control Panels.

We develop hosting solutions using HMC, and MPS. I’m working on creating a provider for dotnetnuke, to that i add its namespace in the Microsoft provisiong manager.
I got all the dlls from the dotnetnuke folder, and put them in my bin. the provider is building succesfully , however once i make a request to a method getportals() for example, i get the following exception:
The type initializer for ‘DotNetNuke.Data.DataProvider’ threw an exception.
Any idea about what shall i do. You help is greatly appreciated
