I've been working in IT since 2004 but it was ever since I first touched a computer that I wanted to be able to tell it what to do. Even though at that time, I had no idea that this would become my profession nor that it was called 'programming'. My passion for IT goes deeper than just 'writing code': I love to share my expertise with others. This was sparked in 2007 when I first taught students in a primary school in South Africa how to use a computer. Over the years I've spoken at various events, organised inspiration sessions and workshops, tutored students, contributed to open source and written blog posts about subjects such as Cloud and DevOps. In 2016 I was awarded my first Microsoft MVP Award.
