Today I started with the new beta’s from Longhorn server. I installed both the full server and the server core. I decided to play with Server core firsts. I got it installed, and got remote desktop working. But then I read up with the management features and they include WS-management, So let’s get that started and working. It took me some time, but it works now and It looks nice, no more ports than 80 and/or 443 are needed. at this moment I am enthusiastic about it, it takes a bit more typing to get the commands going, but this is what you want. (AFAIAC) You’ll need Vista as a client AFAIK, but that is no problem…
I’ll keep you updated on this way of working.
