Description The Global AI Bootcamp is a free event orgnanized by 37 communities all over the world that are passionate about Artificial Intelligence on the Microsoft Azure.

The event takes place on December 14th, 2019 with venues on every continent. The event is a perfect balance of quality content, awesome talks, and hands-on learning with like-minded peers in your community.

Learn how to implement AI solutions using pre-trained AI services like Cognitive Services and Bot Framework, or by building your own machine learning models with Azure ML and open-source frameworks like PyTorch and ML.NET. By the end of the day, you will be able to infuse AI into your applications.

Willem Meints will present the keynote "It doesn't have to be Sci-fi to be AI". Let him take you on a tour and give you a sense of what what AI can offer us humans in our daily life, without having to write a sci-fi book about it. We'll talk about the current state of AI and make some sense of what to expect the coming years.

Willem Meints will also lead the workshop "Learn how to build machine learning models in C# using ML.NET".

While most machine learning happens in python and R, these are not your only options to build machine learning models. Microsoft released ML.NET a while ago, a machine learning library for .NET that allows you to build models in C#.

In this workshop you'll learn how to use ML.NET to automatically generate models for typical machine learning problems that you may run into as a developer. We'll cover the following topics:

- Using Automated Machine Learning
- Using data transformations
- Collecting metrics and explaining your models
- Using models in ASP.NET Core

By the end of the workshop you'll know how to apply ML.NET to basic machine learning models and how to optimize your models.
